Yesterday turned out to be a perfect Mother’s Day. After church we went to eat at an Italian food restaurant that we had never tried. It wasn’t that great, probably would not go back. But it was nice enough. And I enjoyed the company! Then we came home for a nice long Sunday afternoon nap. After church Sunday night, youth group activities were canceled! My husband and I drove down to the beach to spend some much needed time alone just relaxing. We went to a nice local seafood restaurant and had a good dinner. After we ate, we drove down the island a way to a place where we could pull onto the beach. By then it was dark and most folks had gone home. There was only one other car and we did not bother each other. No kids, no dogs, not even any seagulls! Just the wind and the waves and each other. Watching the moon rise was amazing! It was a gorgeous full moon which reflected brightly on the water. Sitting, watching, walking, talking and sharing our love was the perfect ending to the day.
