I finally got my Mac computer back. We had the info from our old computer transferred over to the new one. Then I went to my “Meet Your Mac” class. I learned where the new info is stored and a few things about the Mac vs. my old PC. Most of it will be learned from just playing around with the functions, though I do have access to more classes for the rest of the year, as well as ongoing free workshops. One of my favorite features that I’ve been playing around with is of course the photos. I am anxious to get to spend some more time doing that. It is amazing some of the features on the Mac. Of course there are the regular effects, black and white, comic book, etc. But you also have the “fun house mirror” effects, like you see at sports games. It’s been fun just getting to play around with it, but of course, I’ve still got tons to learn!

I had been hearing about this new Electric Cigarette but had never seen one. My son said he saw a guy with one in McDonald’s. Then, I realized I saw a guy at Target with one. He was coming out of the store as I was going in. I was surprised he had been smoking in the store, since there are public smoking bans in our area. Then, I realized it must be one of those new electronic ones. I could only smell the smoke just as I passed him rather than a large cloud surrounding him (I am very sensitive to cigarette smoke and so this is something I noticed.) I guess these new cigarettes are allowed in public places?

I had heard that deaths due to second hand smoke are on the decline. I guess that is what Andy Gray means when he uses the term “green smoke cigarettes” in his blog. He talks about his switch to the electronic kind, and how much he likes the new cigarettes. He even provides a savings code. I guess if you are going to continue to smoke, the good I can see from switching is the smoke is much less offensive to those around you and the lack of cancer inducing chemicals in these new cigarettes.
