I wasn't online for my first pregnancy, either... actually, I wasn't even very active online for my last - just email, I think. My copy of What to Expect When You're Expecting was the most worn out book in my collection of dog-eared tomes. And then my aunt gave me a wonderful book, Mayo Clinic's Encyclopedia of pregnancy through the first year... that book covered everything from pregnancy through delivery and every possible thing that a baby could get or that a parent my have to deal with as well as causes and cures. It was awesome.

But I think, mostly, the thing that helped ease me into motherhood were other mothers who'd been there before me. That's the great thing about online, you get to connect with other people in some of the same circumstances.

I'm sure I'll talk to you before then, but happy early birthday to your daughter. Thirteen's a biggie - I hope she has a ball.

I remember being a little sad when my kids reached the teen plateau.

The internet can be a big help, can't it! It seems that besides all the craziness there is on it, I can always find good information and someone with a rational thought.
