at least he didn’t ask for a tattoo
As my son is putting together his Christmas list he mentioned wanting an Ed Hardy shirt. I hadn’t heard of Ed Hardy, so I asked what it is. He said it just has some cool artwork on it. Hm, now I was not expecting the Mona Lisa or Starry Starry Night, but neither was I expecting tattoo art!!
I looked up Ed Hardy clothing and Hardy is a well known tattoo artist. “Don Ed Hardy is known as ‘the godfather of modern tattoo’, for his sophistication, depth and sense of experimentation. California native Don Ed Hardy is recognized around the world for his technical brilliance and mesmerizing imagery. ”
I guess it could have been worse. I guess he could have asked for a tattoo.

I guess there is some art there, but as far as I’m concerned, they just put it in the wrong places.

I was invited to write an article for a magazine, and when I went to look at it, found it was a tatoo art magazine. I don’t mind it exactly, just don’t know anything about it, so didn’t take up the offer.
Funny.

we looked at some of the designs together. i just cannot get into the skulls and such. but i must admit that at first i kind of was put off just because it was tattoo art. one of the designs he likes said something about dishonor. i said i just could not support that, etc. then as we continued looking, i got a better look and that it actually said “death before dishonor”. so i admitted that i jumped to conclusions and that i could certainly live w/ that saying (i think it’s the usmc motto) anyway, there are some designs there that i would not mind him wearing, others i don’t like, but i guess beauty is in the eye of the beholder! and i am certainly glad he does not want it etched onto his body!!
