A couple of weeks ago, the men and boys of the neighborhood got together for an impromptu dodgeball game! My husband and son, the man next door and his two boys, a man across the street and his son, and another man from down on the corner all joined in the late afternoon fun. It was fun to watch and good for all these guys. I know it made great memories for all the kids (and dads too, I’m sure!) I would guess that all those guys who didn’t make it home in time were sorry to have missed out on this grand event!

Isn’t it great when that happens! It’s so good for the kids and they’ll remember it for a long time, perhaps even doing it themselves when they are parents hopefully.

I don’t even see any blood or bruises — obviously not a very competitive bunch!
Sounds like a really fun afternoon. Glad they all got to do that, and will have the memories with them for a long time!

it was fun watching them too! good for all involved! every time something like this goes on, my son says he hopes he has neighbors like this when he grows up!

We used to have fun playing this in school, but I have a feeling it’s considered “too dangerous.”

yes, seems as if it’s not played much in school anymore. we do let them play at camp, but at times it can get a little rough! it is one of the kids’ favorites!
