“it was the best of times,
it was the worst of times”
seems to echo to today
“these are the times that
try men’s souls” and cause
many of us to pray
when we see history repeat
itself before our very eyes
it can be so hard to stay
the course and do the right
when others don’t seem to care
to hear what we say
it seems as if it’s getting worse
and that something wicked
is coming this way

It does indeed seem that the bad guys are winning a lot lately. Maybe we are fortunate that so many of the rather militant types have been so insistent about maintaining our 2nd amendment rights!

funny, this is exactly what my husband said (well, not EXACTLY) but the same idea! it is really scary to me what my kids will be faced with. not that others throughout history haven’t had to deal with it before…I reminded my daughter this is why it is so important to study history. we have seen these mistakes before!
