		<description>Interesting your comment about America being "uptight."  I don't know if that is exactly the criticism I've heard — more that it is just sex-obsessed.  Where I live now, sex is seen as a part of life, but not the main focus, by any means.  I don't know if America needs to "loosen up" so much as just to put sex back in its place.

		<description>I remember Saturday morning cartoons and the commercials for cereal and pop tarts and toys. but these are very different and the marketing approach is very different. why target kids w/ things that are not appropriate for them? and I agree that sex is used way too much in marketing ANYTHING! it is a very worrisome trend and I really don't think it will turn around any time soon....</description>

		<description>I have always thought that marketing to children is a despicable practice and will not buy from those who do so. I'm also not extremely pleased to see the use of sex in so much of the marketing. I know it sells, but I think the merchant's gain from it is a big loss for the rest of us.</description>
