moving day

Today was moving day for my granny. She was released from her weak, failing body today. I am happy for her that she no longer has to suffer through the pain any longer. We will miss her so very much. As I sat by her bed today I was thankful to have known her so long and to be able to be with her at the end. As I sat seeing family surround her I knew that nothing else in this world matters. I don’t know what heaven will be like, but I know she is up there happy, probably running around laughing and visiting everyone! I am happy she was able to make the move from this life to a brand new one, a much better one. Happy moving day Granny!

  1. I was thinking this morning that she must have so many people there who she is so happy to see!

    I am glad the weakness of her body isn’t holding her back anymore, as much as I will miss her.

  2. And I forgot to say, everyone here sent their condolences to you and the rest of the family. They are a good bunch when it comes to offering comfort and support!

  3. thank you, and tell your friends thank you. I know many of them had a special place for granny too. she was “famous in some places”!

  4. While I’m sorry that your family will be missing someone so dear to them, it is wonderful to know that your granny was surrounded by those who loved her most as she made her transition. Knowing that she is in a better place, free from pain and in the company of those she likely missed, clearly gives you comfort, and I am glad for that. {{{hugs}}}

  5. thank you Beth. she will be sorely missed but we are happy to have been with her. the nurse even mentioned that as she hugged each of us. not everyone is so blessed to have family with them at the end of this life. thank you for your thoughts and virtual hugs, much appreciated!

  6. My condolences, to you and your family. That time comes for every one of us, and it sounds as though she was ready for her moving day and well prepared for the move, knowing that she was loved here and will be there also.

  7. thanks montucky. it’s hard to be too very sad since we know she is much happier now!
