My daughter has been pet sitting for a family while they are out of town. But last night she wanted to spend the night with a friend. I told her sure, that I would take care of everything, no problem. So this morning I finished my workout just in time to head over and take care of everything.
As I turned the corner, I saw white strips of toilet paper hanging down from their tree. And over their hedges. Then I saw the whip cream and Vaseline all over the youngest daughter’s car. And the eggs. There were also opened bottles of bleach. I’m not sure what they did with that, poured it over the concrete I think. I went back home to get my husband to help me. He came and we pulled the TP down. It was no problem, so he went on to work. I worked on rinsing off the car. Then I had to take care of the eggs.
There were eggs on the driveway and the garage door, but not too many. I got them cleaned up, though the driveway was still pretty sticky. As I was getting ready to head home, I noticed the front door and entry way. It was egged. I hosed it down and wiped down the walls, but it was still pretty bad. I went home to get some soap and a scrubber. That helped a lot. The egg came up pretty well then, so I used it on the driveway and sidewalk too. As I headed out, I noticed the eggs on the roof. So I got the hose back out and at least sprayed it, as I did not know what else to do about that.
It was a pretty unpleasant project I had awaiting me this morning.

Usually, people wait until Hallowe’en to pull this kind of stunt. Not that cleanup is any better then, but at least seeing the mess is a little less of a surprise.

There’s a fine line here between a simple stunt and vandalism.

One good thing is… aren’t you glad it was you instead of your daughter who got the shock? That might have really thrown her off!

the vandalism thought crossed my mind. the eggs all over the front door were pretty bad. there was no way I could just leave it til next week!
yeah, probably good my daughter didn’t get it…though she would probably just have laughed!

this one pretty much may have crossed the line. the folks got home today. the husband actually filed a police report for some damage done to his car, which I missed! I guess there were several things I’d missed. they used the bleach in the grass. luckily, they did not spell out anything ugly…

Wow, that really has crossed the line! What a yucky thing to come home to after a vacation.
