My son found a towel in his closet the other day. There is a date on this towel. He found it amusing that the date corresponds with this week’s date, Sept. 3. I showed him why the towel is dated. We had painted his feet and he had walked all over the towel leaving his foot prints. (This corresponded to a shower curtain we had that was a “paint splattered” design.) He compared his foot now, fourteen years later, to the foot prints he made as a little guy.

Nice idea to pain the feet of a kid to make real foot prints, I like this idea! And the Sept. 3 is the birthday of my son

Quite a change. He probably didn’t remember the first prints, or did he?

Love that! It’s so funny(and bittersweet) to see his big foot next to his tiny painted print.

A lot of people had their kids stand in new concrete in their walks and driveways, and then sign and date them. Kind of like marking lines and dates on a wall or sheet of butcher paper showing how tall everyone is.
Never thought about using a towel.

no, he did not remember painting those prints! yes, his foot is much bigger! bigger than his dad’s! we never did the concrete, but we did do it on a door frame. When we changed out the door, we kept that piece and still use it!
