I’m not surprised — I would think any child would appreciate that from a parent. Perhaps the surprising part is a kid who actually admits that he appreciates it.

the first year I began the prayer tradition, I was really surprised by my son’s reaction when he found out about it. He said “Wow! Thanks! I really need it!”

Excellent traditions, both the prayer and the journals!
I think they will really cherish having those, when the time comes.

some years I’ve been more faithful and expressive, but I am hopeful that they will be something to be cherished. I need to go back and read through, but just can’t right now…..
