Shelly tries to post her “Hit or Miss” list every month. Many months I am so swamped I don’t have time to read or watch movies so I can’t contribute to her list. This month I was able to get some of both done! So I would like to post my “Hit or Miss” list for Dec.
Reading:
I finished reading through the Bible today. I have to say it is a “Hit”, though there are parts that are hard to read through! The particular version I read this year is the Narrated Bible which is written as much as possible in chronological order. It is a good way to read through it, though there are still some parts that are hard to get through. The particular edition I have actually has some typos in it which I hope they’ve fixed in the later editions!
Dave Ramsey’s The Total Money Makeover was also a “Hit”
Scaifaikuest November edition was a Hit for me, though I don’t think it would be regularly!
Schooled was a Hit.
The Muselings was a Hit and was recommended by my nine year old nephew.
The movie Elf was a Hit.
The new movie The Day the Earth Stood Still was also a hit for me.
The book Kneeknock Rise was neither a hit or miss for me.
The movie A Christmas Story was such a miss for me that we turned it off after about thirty minutes (or less!)
Since it’s my blog, I can cheat a little. At the end of November we watched Kung Fu Panda. It actually ended up being a hit for me and my family.

Nice to see your hit or miss list. I always have fun putting mine together.
I am glad you liked The Muselings — I recommended that to the nephew who recommended it to you.
I was really proud of him for finishing his first chapter book, and it was nice to see him wanting to share it with you too.
I haven’t read most of the books on your hit list this month, and I haven’t seen Elf. That adds to my to-be-read/seen list!

I am proud he read it too! his cousin asked if he read th whole thing himself!! we are all proud! I did like the story and can see how he would too. You would be proud too that he would not give anything away. I asked him a question and he just said “you’ll have to see for yourself!” he did tell me that I would really like the last part, after the story. when I told him I’d finished he made sure that I had read that part! cute!
ok, Elf is no great movie, just a silly, pretty clean movie the family could enjoy. we even laughed out loud too!
Schooled is about a kid who was homeschooled on a commune by his grandmother. only there was no one else in the commune. she had to go to the hospital and he had to go to public school. my daughter enjoyed it too.

That is cute, that he wanted to make sure you’d read the last part. I bet you did like it too!
