Today we celebrated my daughter and her friend’s birthday a little late. In March, for her friend’s birthday, my daughter gave her a ticket to Phantom of the Opera. I bought my daughter a ticket for her birthday. So today she, her friend, her friend’s sister and mother and I all got to watch the performance! We went early for lunch at Hard Rock Cafe (my daughter’s present from her friend) and then walked to the theater.
The performance was great! The music, the effects and the actors were all spectacular! I loved the way the stage was decorated like an old opera house. I loved the chandlier. The pyrotechnics were just right. And we loved seeing the phantom up on the catwalk and suspended. Our high cheap seats were just fine!
If you ever get the chance to see the show, GO! even if you can only afford the cheap seats.

That’s my favorite musical! I LOVE the music, and the way the story is put together. I actually think the musical is better than the book.
I love Les Miz and Fiddler on the Roof too, but nothing is as good as Phantom, I think.

it was so good!! we came home and tried to get tickets again! but it closes tomorrow and just did not have time to go again this week. we are already looking forward to the next time we can go!
we gave her the sheet music for her birthday as well. it’s been fun hearing her learn each piece and was awesome to recognize all the music from her playing, though hearing a full orchestra was awesome!
it really was great!
